01

The customer journey

A 300-metre boulevard of upcycled art, where every step on the textured paving reveals a new story.

02

An aviation landmark at the gate

Two repurposed aircraft tail fins, more than 10 metres high, form a "V" archway. They stand on shipping containers that serve as reception and security points, with LED screens built into their faces.

03

Wings as canopies

Salvaged aircraft wings become cantilevered canopies, giving column-free shade over the VIP lounges and the food and drink areas.

04

Prince Mashhour Arena

The stage is set: 3,000 people, one night.

05

Industrial luxury

A cinema and lounge, with restaurants and cafés in glass-fronted containers finished in charcoal black and metallic gold.

06

The core of sound

An aircraft fuselage turned into a lit centrepiece on the boulevard.

Runway lighting

Inspired by airport runways. Lights at the entrance show how busy the district is: red when it is busy, orange when it is moderately busy and green when it is quiet. LED strips set into the paving glow gold and blue to guide visitors along the boulevard at night.

Built from what already exists

  • Main structure: aerospace-grade aluminium salvaged from retired aircraft, with a matte clear coat that keeps its industrial patina.
  • Base units: Corten steel shipping containers in charcoal black and metallic gold.
  • Ground: heavy-duty geometric interlock paving in dark charcoal.
  • Planting: cacti, agave and other desert succulents, chosen to reduce water use.
